One of our best‑selling ranges, now reimagined. Introducing the LSE Quarter‑Zip Rugby Top.

The modern rugby shirt traces its origins back to the 1800s, when it was first worn by players in England as the sport began to take shape. Early rugby players relied on thick cotton shirts with long sleeves and reinforced stitching, designed to withstand the physical demands of the game. These garments became known as “rugby jerseys” or “rugby shirts” — terms still widely used today. The word “jersey” itself originates from the Channel Island of Jersey, famed for its knitted wool garments.

Inspired by this traditional heritage, the LSE Quarter‑Zip Rugby Top combines classic design with contemporary practicality. Crafted from durable, heavyweight cotton, it offers comfort, resilience, and timeless style. The quarter‑zip detail adds a modern touch, making this piece ideal for both everyday wear and showing your LSE pride.

WASH AT LOW TEMPERATURES (30°C OR LOWER):
Wash your printed garments at 30°C or lower to prevent prints from fading or
deteriorating over time. Cooler washes also help protect the fabric from
shrinking, bobbling, or fading.

HANG DRY (OR IF YOU MUST, TUMBLE DRY LOW)
The best way to dry printed garments is to hang them up to air dry. High heat from tumble drying can cause prints to fade or crack over time and may also shrink the garment. If you must tumble dry, use the lowest heat setting.

WASH INSIDE OUT
Before washing, turn your garments inside out. This protects the print from rubbing against other clothes and helps keep it looking fresher for longer. It also
reduces wear on the garment itself, keeping it smoother and less prone to pilling.

WASH WITH LIKE COLOURS / MATERIALS
Before washing, we recommend turning your garments inside out. This helps protect the print from rubbing against other clothes and keeps it looking fresh for longer. It also reduces wear on the garment itself, preventing pilling and surface damage.

USE MILD DETERGENTS AND AVOID BLEACH
Use a mild detergent to clean your printed garments. Harsh chemicals, such as bleach, can cause colours to fade and may weaken both the print and fabric. For stains, apply a gentle stain remover to the affected area before washing.

DO NOT IRON OVER THE PRINT
Avoid ironing directly over the printed area. If needed, turn the garment inside out or place a cloth over the print and use a low heat setting to prevent damage.
